Recycling Rate Report Submissions:
DEQ is excited to announce the launch of the new online Recycling Rate Reporting Application. This system is designed to streamline the reporting process, improve data accuracy, and provide a more user-friendly experience for all Virginia Solid Waste Planning Units (SWPUs). The new Recycling Rate Reporting application is a fully online platform for submitting annual recycling reports with streamlined navigation, built‑in error‑reducing validation, and secure access and data management.
Solid waste planning units are strongly encouraged to complete and submit their annual recycling rate reports (DEQ Form 50-30) via the DEQ online application. The deadline to submit the recycling rate reports to DEQ is April 30 of each year.
The hardcopy of the DEQ Form 50-30 can be found here.
The Recycling Rate Report should be completed using the provided spreadsheet and submitted to va-landr@DEQ.Virginia.gov on or before April 30 every year for recycling activities conducted in the preceding year.
Computer Manufacturer Recycling Submissions:
Virginia's Computer Recovery and Recycling Act requires manufacturers to publish a report on its publicly accessible website no later than January 31 of each year which includes:
- the name and contact information of the representative responsible for the manufacturer's recovery plan,
- the weight of computer equipment collected, recycled, and reused, and
- documentation certifying that the collection, recycling, and reuse of computer equipment complies with sound environmental management.
The computer manufacturer registration and the annual recycling forms can be submitted to va-landr@DEQ.Virginia.gov.
