Pre-Application Public Notices for new SW Withdrawal Projects

The Virginia Water Protection Permit (VWP) Program Regulation requires a potential applicant for a new  or expanded surface water withdrawal project that will require an individual VWP permit, and for which a withdrawal 90 million gallons a month or greater is proposed, to publish a public notice containing information about the proposed project in a local newspaper of general circulation once per week for two consecutive weeks.  The potential applicant also provides the public notice to the DEQ Office of Water Supply for web posting of the public notice.
