Virginia Green Travel Conference 

Professionals across the Commonwealth in all facets of hospitality and tourism gather to seek sustainable solutions to protect Virginia's environment that are also profitable for tourism businesses. As an attendee you will return to your business armed with proactive responses to current global trends ensuring you won't get left behind. Registration is open for the 2020 Virginia Green Travel Conference that will be held in Richmond. The conference has been postponed. A new date will be set in the coming weeks.

2019 Travel Star Awards

There are four award categories: 

  • Green Program Award for the overall accomplishments of a facility
  • Innovative Green Project Award for a specific accomplishment
  • Green Supplier of the Year Award
  • Green Team All-Star Award for individual staff members who are leading your facility's green program efforts

2019 Travel Star Awards

On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, April 22, 2020, Virginia Green recognized the 2019 award winners. Virginia Green Travel Star Awards were given to 18 members for outstanding green tourism practices. Nine additional tourism businesses were recognized as Virginia Green Travel Leaders for their efforts. Three Green Team All-Stars and one Industry Game Changer have also been recognized with awards.
