Dominion - Greensville

Virginia Electric Power and Power Company (Dominion) submitted a Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) air permit application on November 24, 2014 for a natural gas-fired combined-cycle power electric generation facility in Greensville County, Virginia. The final permit was issued on June 17, 2016.

The facility, Dominion - Greensville Combined-Cycle Project will consist of a “three-on-one” power block (three combustion turbines, three heat recovery steam generators, and one steam turbine fueled by natural gas). The facility has a potential electrical generating capacity of up to 1600 megawatts. Ancillary equipment (185 MMBtu/hr auxiliary boiler, 6 small fuel natural gas heaters, one diesel-fired emergency generator, two propane-fired emergency generators, and one diesel-fired fire water pump) to support plant operations will also be installed at the facility.
