The Virginia Environmental Excellence Program (VEEP) is a voluntary program designed to encourage Virginia organizations to develop environmental management systems and pollution prevention plans. As part of its efforts to promote the use of environmental management systems (EMS) by all industry, business, and public sectors, DEQ revamped its own EMS in 2014. DEQ is dedicated to continually improving EMS efforts as part of the agency's commitment to being a good environmental steward and leading by example for other Virginia State Agencies. DEQ is an E3 member of the VEEP.
