Financial Assurance

The Office of Financial Assurance (OFA) is a multi-media office within DEQ’s Division of Waste Programs Coordination. The Office of Financial Assurance’s primary focus is to administer the financial responsibility regulations for the following regulatory programs:

• Hazardous Waste Disposal, Transfer, and Treatment Facilities
• Solid Waste Disposal, Transfer, and Treatment Facilities
• Vessels Transporting Solid/Regulated Medical Waste on State Waters
• Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks (USTs)
• Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) and Pipeline Facilities
• Privately Owned Sewerage Systems (POSS)
• Tidal Dredging
