Environmental and Historic Stewardship Criteria

Information for agencies with property
For an agency that owns property, "meeting expectations" for the Environmental and Historic Resource Stewardship criteria means that the agency:
- Meets or exceeds environmental compliance requirements on a consistent basis
- Fully integrates natural and historic resource issues into its operations
- Follows the Environmental Impact Review process and other similar processes
- Has documented the actions it has taken to protect resources in its operations and capital outlay projects
- Successfully practices and/or supports pollution prevention:
- Waste reduction and recycling
- Energy and water conservation
- Use of green building concepts
- Use of mass transit, carpooling, and telecommuting
Agencies that do not own property must meet a different set of criteria.
