Environmental and Historic Stewardship Criteria

Information for agencies without property

For an agency that does not own property, "meeting expectations" for the Environmental and Historic Resource Stewardship criteria means that the agency:

• Fully integrates natural and historic resource issues into its operations
• Successfully practices and/or supports pollution prevention:
  • Waste reduction and recycling
  • Energy and water conservation
  • Use of green building concepts
  • Use of mass transit, carpooling, and telecommuting

Agencies that own property must meet a different set of criteria.
