Virginia Green Wineries & Breweries
Wineries and breweries are an integral part of Virginia's tourism industry, and they depend on upon clean water, air, and land to make their product. It only makes sense that wineries and breweries would want to do their part to help the environment.
Standards for breweries are under development. At this time breweries should apply as Attractions.
Standards for wineries include opportunities unique to wineries. There are dozens of opportunities for wineries to minimize their impact on the environment, by making some simple, common-sense changes and almost all of the can save your facility money. Virginia Green Wineries pledge to recycle, reduce wastes, minimize the use of disposable food service products, minimize the use of pesticides / herbicides / fungicides and fertilizers, use water efficiently and conserve energy.
