Virginia Beach Green Team Runs for the Environment!

Green Events are those which have been thoughtfully planned in order to minimize environmental impacts and to help increase environmental awareness.  "Greening" your event helps set a great example for your participants and it will cast a positive light on your sponsors.  Moreover, all of your participants will appreciateyour efforts and hopefully return for the nex green event! 

What Does It Take to be a Virginia Green Event?

At a minimum, facilities must commit to:

• Provide Recycling
• Eliminate the Use of Styrofoam. 
• Minimize use of Printed Materials
• Reduce overall Wastes
• Post Green Signage informing participants about the event's green attributes.
