Congratulations to you all! The awards were officially announced at the CleanMed 2006 Conference (http://www.cleanmed.org/), which is considered to be the premier environmental conference for leaders in the healthcare industry. I’ve attached the official program from the dinner which lists all of the 2006 Award winners. If you were unable to attend (like us!), you should be receiving your award in the mail very soon. Please remember to publicize your award! The H2E website has a great section that will help you “toot your own horn”, complete with sample press releases - http://h2e-online.org/awards/press.htm. Also, if you want to have an official presentation of the plaque, I would be happy to visit your facility and present the award to you or your CEO in front of your environmental committee! Just let me know…
It’s great that we had a good many facilities apply for awards this year. However, for next year, we should triple this year’s numbers. I’d like to challenge all of our members to include applying for and winning an award as one of your VH2E goals for 2006! Remember, the first step for all of these awards is establishing your baseline data (from the Annual Facility Assessment Summary and Goals Form) – because all of the award applications ask for you to report your progress! We are available to help you develop a plan for 2006!
Congratulations again to our winners!
