How to join

Joining is easy. Membership in the program is FREE. Simply fill this out the checklist entitled Pollution Prevention Practices for Hotel & Resorts and mail/fax/email it into the Virginia DEQ. If you are doing the core activities, then you are “in”. It’s that easy! We will then list your facility as a member on the Virginia EnvironmentaLodging (hyperlink to "participants" section) website, and send you a framed certificate for display at your facility summarizing your activities. Your facility will also be included on the Virginia Tourism Corporation's list of "environmentally-friendly" facilities.

The checklist is merely a list of common-sense, good ideas for you to consider. Please feel free to tell us about any other things you are doing to minimize your environmental impacts.
