This document is intended as condensed guidance for smaller businesses who store or use propane and who already comply with propane industry standards. The guidance and sample RMPs assume that propane is the ONLY regulated substance stored at the facility. - EPA Substitutes for Ozone-Depleting Substances: SNAP Program
Under section 612 of the Clean Air Act, EPA established the Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program. SNAP's mandate is to identify alternatives to ozone-depleting substances and to publish lists of acceptable and unacceptable substitutes. Several rules and notices have expanded these lists, and they are available for online reading or for downloading.
