VA DEQ is providing training to permittees and laboratories on the changes EPA recently made to 40 CFR Part 136.
This section of the Code of Federal Register contains the required sampling, preservation, holding time, and test procedures for the analysis of pollutants under the Clean Water Act.
„X Overview of the major changes to 40 CFR Part 136.
„X Method specific requirements.
„X Quality control requirements associated with Standard Methods and included in the revisions of existing EPA methods [i.e., initial demonstration of capability, duplicates, known additions, blank analysis, etc.]
„X Comparison of methods found in Standard Methods that replace the withdrawn EPA methods.
„X Opportunity to ask questions.
The training session is free but registration is requested due to limited seating and availability of handouts.
The session will be from 9 to Noon on October 24, 2007.
The location is DEQ¡¦s Piedmont Regional Office at Innsbrook near Richmond, VA.
