- Improve the wetlands program and examine 404 Assumption. (This includes improving alignment between DEQ and Corps, improving multi-agency coordination of permit reviews, improving permit quality and consistency, and improving pre-application process and completeness reviews of permits.)
- Increase compliance assurance through development of new compliance and inspection strategy
Virginia Pollution Discharge Elimination System

- Make inspections more valuable (risk based inspections, changes to procedures, etc)
- Expand use of general permits
- Streamline individual VPDES permit application and renewal process
