Growth and changing land uses on the Eastern Shore increase the frequency and amount of wastewater discharged from businesses and localities that can pollute seaside waters. As Virginians know, keeping seaside rivers and creeks and the Chesapeake Bay clean is important for the children and families who enjoy them and for the shellfish and fishery resources that depend on them.
