Water Resources Management

In 2003, DEQ reorganized to establish a new division, the Water Resources Division.

Water Resources Management 

Offices within the new division include the:

  • Office of Surface Water Investigations

  • Office of Ground Water Withdrawal Permitting

  • Office of Ground Water Characterization

  • Office of Ground Water Protection

  • Office of Water Supply Planning

Each office plays an integral role in supporting Federal, State, and local programs interested in promoting and protecting the water resources of the Commonwealth.
