Waste regulations
Waste regulations that are under development can be tracked though the Commonwealth's Regulatory Townhall website. An agency contact is provided for each regulatory action if you have any questions.
The Virginia Waste Management Board promulgates Virginia's waste regulations, which include solid waste and hazardous waste, transport of hazardous materials, voluntary remediation, regulated medical waste, waste tires, coal combustion by-products and yard waste composting.
A report (a printout of multiple sections of any regulation) can be obtained from the following link to the Legislative Information System database, for each of the chapters listed below. (Once in the database, first access the chapter of interest and then choose the “create a report” option under that chapter).
