Community meeting at Valley Regional Office

About 20 people attended the Department of Environmental Quality’s community meeting for the Valley area on November 17, 2005. Participants at the meeting, held at DEQ’s Valley Regional Office in Harrisonburg, included area residents and representatives of local organizations.

Discussion focused on air quality, water quality and waste management issues in the Valley area.

This meeting was one of seven held in 2005 as part of DEQ’s community involvement initiative to increase understanding of how DEQ operates, identify issues that are a priority in each region of Virginia and enhance opportunities for community involvement in environmental activities in Virginia.
