Project Title:

Interpretive Signage for Seaside Heritage Access Sites

Project Description as Proposed:

The Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission will work with the Virginia CZM Program and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to develop, construct and install interpretive signage along the Seaside of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This signage will relay compelling conservation messages to the general public, as well as present the restoration activities undertaken with CZM dollars. The location of the signage will be determined in collaboration with local officials of both counties and any relevant towns or villages and/or relevant public property owners such as USF&WS, the Department of Conservation and Recreation and DGIF. All signage will be erected on publicly owned property.
