Special Area Management Plan for Sustainable Development in Northampton County
Project Description as Proposed:
In 1992, the Special Area Management Plan (SAMP) was initiated for Northampton County. The dual and integrated goals of the SAMP are to initiate sustainable economic development based on the County's natural, cultural and historic resources and to formulate enforceable policies to protect these resources for the long term. The FY 1998 funding will provide for update of the original SAMP and planning, design and implementation of specific projects demonstrating successful implementation of the SAMP goals and policies.
