The list below displays the dates and locations in Virginia where air quality monitors recorded ozone concentrations greater than 75 parts per billion (ppb), the health-based air quality standard measured over eight hours. The standard was changed in 2008 and the information in this list reflects number of exceedances under the new standard. A table displaying the number of ozone exceedances at each location from 1990-present can be viewed here.
Numbers indicate ozone concentration in parts per billion (ppb). All information is unofficial until quality-assured by the DEQ Office of Air Monitoring. The Clean Air Status and Trends Network (CASTNET) sites are maintained by the U.S. EPA and the data is unofficial until quality-assured by the U.S. EPA.
